Roger Berman is the founder of Japan-based ZenWorks, a brand licensing consultancy and agency and is an active supporter of Mirai no Mori. This year, Roger will be running the Chester Metric Marathon in the U.K on October 2nd 2022 to raise funds in support of marginalized youth attending Mirai no Mori's winter programs. At Mirai no Mori, children gain confidence in themselves through participation in outdoor adventures with mentors and peers who become life-long friends.
Children's homes in Japan house children ages 1-18 years-old whose parents can no longer provide support. While their physical needs are generally met, neglected, and abandoned children often have little exposure to learning life skills and coping mechanisms which will foster their growth as confident, emotionally healthy adults.
Running a marathon is an effective way to build awareness and publicity for charitable causes within local communities. Roger will run the Chester Metric Marathon on October 2nd 2022 to raise funds and public awareness for marginalized youth in Japan. Each program at Mirai no Mori provides children with experiences, skills, and perspectives which will equip them to discover who they are, build healthy relationships, and define their future.
