Project Overview

The Educate to Elevate initiative by Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal aims to provide quality education and a safe learning environment for underprivileged girls in rural areas of Nepal.
Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty — yet thousands of girls in remote villages remain out of school due to financial hardship, distance, or lack of proper facilities.

Through this project, we are committed to building and operating a rural girls’ school that offers free and inclusive education, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead a dignified life.

Project Goals

• Construct a fully equipped school building with classrooms, sanitation facilities, and a small library.

• Provide free education for 150–200 girls from poor and marginalized families.

• Recruit qualified female teachers to ensure a supportive and safe environment.

• Promote community awareness on the importance of girls’ education and equal opportunity.

Current Status

The project has gained local community support, and the proposed land area in the Sunsari District has been identified and secured for construction.
However, due to financial limitations, the work cannot begin yet.

We have so far raised only USD 600 out of the total required USD 45,000.
This amount covers only preliminary design and consultation.

Our team is ready to start construction as soon as sufficient funding is available.

Quarterly Progress Report Project Title: Build a Rural Girl’s School Reporting Period: March 1 – May 31, 2025 Prepared by: Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal

1. Project Summary

The "Build a Rural Girl’s School" initiative by Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal aims to provide quality education to underprivileged girls in a remote rural area of Nepal. Many of these girls currently lack access to any school, facing risks such as early marriage, child labor, and social exclusion. Our goal is to break this cycle by building a safe and nurturing school that will empower them through education.

2. Project Objectives

• Construct a school with four classrooms, gender-sensitive sanitation facilities, a library, and outdoor space.

• Enroll 60–100 girls in the first academic year.

• Hire qualified local female teachers and provide books, uniforms, and supplies.

• Promote awareness of girls’ right to education among families and communities.

3. Financial Overview

• Total Budget Required: $23,500

• Funds Raised to Date: $590

• Remaining Amount: $22,910

• Construction Status: Not yet started

As of now, we have not raised the full amount required to begin construction. We sincerely appeal for your generous support to move this mission forward.

4. Activities Completed This Quarter (March–May 2025)

• Conducted outreach in the local community and held consultation meetings with parents and leaders

• Identified and surveyed a plot of land for the school

• Prepared preliminary building plans and cost estimates

• Launched the first phase of our fundraising campaign.

5. Challenges

• Funding Gap: Construction cannot start until at least 60% of the funds are secured

• Rural Logistics: Transportation and construction costs are higher in the remote area

• Limited Reach: As a small Nepal-based charity, international visibility and donor access are still developing

6. Plans for Next Quarter (June–August 2025)

• Launch a short documentary and video appeal featuring voices from local girls and families

• Reach out to international Muslim-led NGOs, education charities, and grant-makers

• Host virtual donor information sessions and fundraising events

• Begin ground-level work if sufficient funding is secured
