The "Streets to School" project,by Al-Ehsan Charity, aims to support 50 underprivileged students in Nepal. By sponsoring 25 orphaned and 25 economically disadvantaged students, it covers their education, feeding, accommodation, and transportation needs. The project promotes community support, educational advocacy, and regular monitoring of the students' progress. With a yearly budget of $13,500, this initiative seeks to break the cycle of poverty and provide a brighter future for these children.
In the rural areas of Nepal, particularly within Muslim communities, numerous orphaned and economically disadvantaged children face significant barriers to accessing education. Factors such as poverty, lack of family support, and inadequate resources contribute to a high number of children living on the streets or being unable to afford proper schooling. These challenges lead to a cycle of illiteracy, perpetuating the cycle of poverty for these vulnerable children.
The potential long-term impact of this project includes breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy in rural Muslim communities. By providing access to education, empowering vulnerable children, and fostering community involvement, the initiative lays the foundation for sustainable socio-economic development, creating a brighter future for generations to come.
Unfortunately, we have not yet succeeded in attracting many donors. We are working hard to make such an important project a success.
