Empower 500 Rural Girls with Skills & Health

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for supporting the S.H.E project, which provides skills training, health education, and learning resources for 500 rural girls in Kogi, Nasarawa, and Benue States. Your support helps girls stay in school, improve health, and gain tools for a brighter future.

Many rural girls in Nigeria drop out before completing secondary education due to poverty, early marriage, and lack of menstrual health support. Long distances to school, limited learning materials, and inadequate health knowledge increase dropout risks and reduce opportunities for independence and personal growth.

This project supplies sanitary pads, textbooks, and bicycles to remove barriers to attendance. Girls also receive life skills training, reproductive health education, vocational lessons, and confidence-building sessions. By combining education, health, and practical skills, the project helps girls remain in school and prepare for future livelihoods.

Over time, these girls are more likely to continue education, delay marriage, develop literacy, and acquire skills to support their families. Educated girls contribute to healthier households and communities, creating ripple effects that can improve the next generation. The project lays a foundation for lasting social and economic change in rural areas.

At this stage, donations received are not sufficient to start the project, but with your continued support, we can empower these girls and open doors to a safer, healthier, and more prosperous future.

With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
