The SOLVE-IT-RIGHT (SIR) Project is built on the premise that math is more than just numbers—it is the language of logic, strategy, and problem-solving. Our mission is to provide a free weekly math program that empowers boys aged 14–18 with the essential skills needed to navigate a competitive world.
By focusing on this specific age group, we aim to:
Enhance Math Proficiency: Bridging the gap between classroom theory and practical application.
Cultivate Critical Thinking: Using collaborative problem-solving to sharpen analytical minds.
Promote Community Engagement: Encouraging young men to use their skills to contribute to local development and innovation.
II. QUARTERLY UPDATE: A STRATEGIC PAUSE
It is important to provide our donors with a candid look at our operations. During this past quarter (Q1 2026), the SIR Project was unable to enroll new participants or conduct weekly sessions.
The Core Challenge: The primary barrier to operation this quarter has been a critical funding gap. The resources required to provide high-quality learning materials, secure a consistent venue, and support our expert facilitators were not available.
As a result, we made the difficult decision to pause enrollment rather than compromise the quality of the mentorship and education we provide to these young men.
III. WHY THE SIR PROJECT CANNOT WAIT
For boys in the 14–18 age bracket, these years are pivotal for career trajectory and personal identity. A pause in educational support can lead to:
Academic Slippage: Losing momentum in core STEM subjects.
Idle Potential: Without the "weekly anchor" of the SIR sessions, boys in at-risk communities lose a vital safe space for intellectual growth.
Loss of Community Connection: The collaborative nature of SIR fosters a sense of belonging that is essential for healthy development.
IV. THE RELAUNCH PLAN: Q2 2026
Our team is not standing still. While sessions were paused, we have been working behind the scenes to ensure a robust restart in the next quarter.
Our Current Efforts Include:
Aggressive Fundraising: Reaching out to individual and institutional donors to secure the "Starting Capital" for the new session.
Curriculum Refresh: Updating our "Interactive Problem-Solving" modules to be even more engaging for the 2026 cohort.
Partnership Outreach: Seeking local community centers that might offer subsidized space to reduce our overhead costs.
V. A CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP
The "SIR" Project is ready to solve for the future, but we need the variables to align. We are looking for partners who believe that a boy with a strong grasp of mathematics is a boy who can solve the problems of his community.
We invite you to help us "Solve-It-Right" by contributing toward:
Learning Kits: Calculators, graph paper, and advanced math workbooks.
Facilitator Stipends: Ensuring our mentors can continue to provide high-level instruction.
Venue & Logistics: Providing a stable, tech-ready environment for our weekly sessions.
CONCLUSION
We thank our past supporters for their belief in these young men. While this quarter was quiet, the potential of our boys remains loud. We are hopeful that with your support, the next quarter will see our classrooms full and our "Young Lions" solving the complex equations of life and leadership.
With sincere determination,
