Teddy was born on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, and is a true miracle. But his story began five months earlier, when his mom Franzi and dad Eddy were ready to have a family. Shortly after, something terrible happened when some poorly cared-for dogs entered the farm and killed Eddy. Franzi was traumatized, hurt, and very scared, because she had a secret. She knew that Eddy's legacy was growing inside her, and she had to protect it. So she decided to move to another small farm, where she was no longer alone and began to enjoy the company of Milka, Trufita, Copete, Olafo, and Obelix. She continued to keep her secret, and can you imagine her humans' surprise when they found Teddy lying next to her? He was the size of a chicken, tiny and fragile, because he was born prematurely. During the night, he slept snuggled up in a crate, with a hot water bottle to keep him warm. Since he was so weak, his sucking reflex hadn't yet developed, so they had to milk him and give him a baby bottle. The milk was so good that Teddy soon began to explore all the wonders of life. He grew up healthy and strong, but at three and a half years old, he became seriously ill due to a bacterial infection, that immobilized his limbs. Like all living beings, he deserved extensive and prolonged treatment. Three of his legs recovered, but the last one began to necrose, and finally had to be amputated. For almost six months, until today, Teddy never lost his courage or his good spirits, overcoming many complications and challenges. Now he hops and jumps on three legs, and in two months he could be fitted with a prosthesis.
