“My family had a beautiful house which had some land, livestock and a beautiful pond”, says a ten-year-old Rohingya child. His family left all this behind and rebuilt their lives in a refugee camp far from home. At the Safe Haven project by JAAGO Foundation, this is the first time he has received any education and training since his family fled to Bangladesh. Before the pandemic, he used to play with his friends in the play zone and learn their lessons together. He also enjoyed and learned a lot from the personal protection activities and proper hygiene lessons.
Since 2018, JAAGO has supported 500 Rohingya refugee children in the Kutupalong refugee camp by boosting trauma management, cognitive understanding, social skills development, and conflict resolution while ensuring personal protection and proper hygiene.
As the Rohingya population continues to face uncertainty and strived to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic, your contribution fueled us to support them with ongoing emergency care. Thank you for your generosity. Your contribution made it possible for us to help the most vulnerable children in Bangladesh
After a long and fruitful journey, we have decided to shift the "Safe Haven for Rohingya Refugee Children" beneficiaries and make it a part of our Free-of-cost School for Underprivileged Children project where we focus on expending all our efforts on educating all children. Thank you for staying with us in this journey! We hope that you keep helping all children in the future as well and making their lives wonderful.
