This project will establish secure, durable learning environments across 50 schools in rural Niger State. Currently, many children study under trees or in unsafe structures, exposed to harsh weather, distractions, and health risks. By constructing and upgrading classrooms with desks, ventilation, sanitation facilities, and safe roofing, we ensure that thousands of children can learn in dignity and safety. Each school will be equipped to provide a stable environment where children focus and learn
Unsafe learning spaces discourage attendance and expose children to illness and injury. In Niger State, poverty prevents communities from building proper schools, leaving vulnerable children-especially girls-without safe places to learn. By supporting this initiative, donors help bridge the infrastructure gap across 50 schools, protecting children and making education accessible to all.
The project will Construct and rehabilitate classrooms with proper roofing, sanitation, and furniture in 50 schools. It will also train teachers and administrators to maintain safe, inclusive environments. it will provide desks, chalkboards, and ventilation systems to ensure comfort and focus. It will create sustainable sanitation facilities to promote hygiene and health. This directly addresses the lack of infrastructure across multiple communities, ensuring education is safe and dignified.
Over time, 500 children annually will benefit from safe classrooms, reducing dropout rates and improving literacy. Communities will see higher educational attainment, leading to better opportunities and reduced poverty. The project solves unsafe learning conditions and creates lasting infrastructure for generations.
