Hello,
We are pleased to share a brief update on our Safe Shelter for Widowed Mothers in Syria project.
In Rural Damascus, many widowed mothers continue to care for their children in homes that require urgent repairs. Leaking roofs, damaged doors and windows, and weakened walls can leave families exposed to cold weather, rain, and unsafe living conditions.
Through this project, we aim to help restore these homes and create safer living environments for mothers and their children. Planned repairs include fixing damaged roofs, securing doors and windows, and addressing other critical problems that affect the safety and dignity of each family.
This project has not yet received funding through GlobalGiving, but the need for safe and secure housing remains.
We continue to raise awareness about these families' needs and work toward securing the resources necessary to begin the planned repairs.
For a widowed mother, a safe home can mean more than protection from the weather. It can mean peace of mind, security for her children, and the ability to focus on rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about this project and for standing with vulnerable mothers and children in Syria.
With your support, a simple repair can become the beginning of a safer and more hopeful future for a family.
