Empowering Futures: 800 Safe Stoves for Safer Home
At Darfur Women Network, we believe in the power of women to transform their lives and communities. Thanks to your support and the partnership with GlobalGiving, we are proud to announce the third stage of our Safe Stoves Project's success.
In just three and a half months, a resilient group of 40 refugee women produced an astounding 2,440 safe stoves. In this third stage, they successfully completed an additional 800 stoves.
These stoves have changed our lives. The income helps us buy food, clothes, and even school supplies for our children. We feel proud and hopeful.
The impact goes beyond income. These safe stoves reduce harmful smoke inside shelters, improve air quality, and minimize the need for women to risk their safety by venturing far for firewood.
The Safe Stoves Project has united the community. Families now recognize women’s contributions as vital to economic resilience and safety.
We are just 800 safe stoves away from declaring the Darfur Refugee Camp free from transitional stoves. Together, we can protect 7,000 families and create a safer, healthier future for women and girls. Thank you for making this life-changing progress possible.
