Safe Water for School Children in Rural Vietnam

Wow!  What a year!  Life for many has been turned upside down! 

Global weather changes have resulted in significant flooding, causing crop devastation, loss of income, and loss of homes.  This has also been the reality in Vietnam.   Plus, we have not been able to forget or get away from the global pandemic of Covid-19!   Yet life goes on.  And in the mountainous regions of Vietnam one can hear the laughter of children once again playing in the paths that meander through their villages.   For now, the schools have closed due to the pandemic, but they will soon open again.  And along with the pre-schools and kindergarten reopening, MEDRIX will be there to deliver new and the revitalized “Safe Water Systems”.

Can you hear them now?  The children laughing as they turn the lever that allows the water to be processed through the microbial filters, releasing the sound of the water softly filling their cups and as the sweet taste of SAFE WATER touches their lips.  Ah, the refreshment of water…not just any water, but it is SAFE WATER!   Thank you for being a part of MEDRIX’s life sustaining project – Safe Water for children.   I can hear their laughter and their polite voices saying-   “Cam n rât nhieu”.  “Thank you very much!”  

“Water, water every where and not a drop to drink!”  We have all heard that phrase yet may not have experienced its effect on our own life.   Now, even as the global pandemic is on all of our minds, at this same time, today, in Central-Vietnam, people are facing their third destructive typhoon in a month!   Now one of their biggest dangers is the lack of safe drinking water!    MEDRIX is working with our long-time Health and Service partners in the flooded areas to provide needed safe water for people in the hardest hit areas. 

Can you imagine losing your crops, your house, your livestock and in all of the crisis, not having safe water to drink?  What a tragedy!   You can be a part of the solution.    Your donations, of any amount, will be fully applied directly for the provision of safe water to the areas of greatest need.    Thank you for your support for the peoples of Central-Vietnam!
