In our small village of Canoa in Manabi, Equador, is very difficult to get potable water. We have to buy water from tankers and cause of the season we only can get river water because a single tanker of "potable water" costs $80, this is a very high cost to pay for our school, because we consume 3 tankers per month.
Although we have not raised funds for our project, we got a local donation to change the water tank that was rusty and leaking water, making us loose money and resources.
This time of the year is very dry, it doesn't rain. The rainy season begins in December that is when we can collect rainwater.
During that rainy season the rivers rise, but they bring a lot of mud and trash and that is when we can't buy river water either.
That is why it is important that you help us getting the funds to dig the well to extract water and help our community.
Thank you very much to the people that believe in what we do to help the beautiful community of Escuela Los Algarrobos and Canoa.
