A late winter afternoon on Nov 26th, Ren Du organized another coastal cleanup activity together with total 23 volunteers from different backgrounds including 5 Ren Du employees.
On the way to the beach, Ren Du employees gave volunteers a full introduction of the marine pollution and coached them how to collect marine litter on the beach and make classification.
On the site, volunteers were randomly divided into five small groups in charge of five sections respectively. The first group started to collect to divide their investigation sample area, which is 5 meters wide, from the rest, the other four groups did the same division to their sample area one by one. At first, all volunteers collected marine litter as much as possible, then they made classification to them, counted numbers, weigh them by category, and made records on the data card clipboard.
At 6pm the whole process ended, it was all dark and freezing cold by then. All together 1351 pieces of marine litter were collected, investigated, and recorded, and the total weight was 24933g.
