Dear Friends,
This report covers the period from March 20, 2026, to July 30, 2026 and is our twenty third report on the project of Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland.
As you already know Stowarzyszenie Masurian Legacy hosts all manner of training, development and scientific events throughout the year, as a benefit to our members and to support the science of ecology.
Our Summer events are the most imortant ones since it brings hundreds of participants from around Poland together for one week each year in Ryn. This is held at the same time as Dni Rynu, and in 2026 it was from 16 to 19 of July. We have organized many meetings, based on shared interests, and mostly based on location of the fire-bellied toad habitat. Frogs are among the most threatened animals on the planet. Over 40% of amphibian species are at risk of extinction due to habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, disease, and over-harvesting.
On behalf of Stowarzyszenie Masurian Lakes Legacy, I would like to thank you for your extraordinary generosity. Your recent gifts will make a significant impact on our educational work in the Masuria region. Your support helps us turn ambitious goals into reality. We would be honored to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the progress of this project.
Regards,
Grazyna Polkowska
