Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland

Dear All,

This report covers the period from July 31, 2025, to December 04, 2025 and is our twenty first report on the project of Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland.

At the time we are writing this report all tree crowns in our park are without leaves because deciduous trees enter a period of dormancy, shedding leaves to conserve energy during winter. This is a natural process where trees stop producing chlorophyll as days get shorter and pull vital nutrients into their roots for storage. Some trees may also retain dead leaves through winter, which will fall later in spring or be dislodged by snow and wind.

In Poland winter in parks generally means colder weather and potentially snow from November to March, but with opportunities for winter activities and fewer crowds for a quiet experience. In a general sense, winter time in parks means fewer people, quieter trails, and a focus on cold-weather activities alongside the usual opportunities for mental health benefits.

This report covers the period from April 02, 2024, to July 30, 2025 and is our twentieth report on the project of Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland. 

The summer time is the most busiest period in our park activities. The Rynski Dwor park's opening times are from dawn to dusk and there is no entry fee requirement.

The park visit may involve exploring a protected area designed to conserve a variety of plant and animal species, and offer opportunities to learn about the rich biodiversity of a region, showcasing native ecosystems and species. Visitors can enjoy nature walks, observe wildlife, and participate in educational programs. And all of that is free of charge and run by our local volunteers.

Our Rynski Dwor biodiversity park is established to protect and restore natural habitats and the species they support. It serves as a visitor learning center, providing information about local ecosystems, conservation efforts, and the importance of biodiversity.

Tourists from the region can engage in activities like walking, birdwatching, and nature photography while enjoying the natural environment.
