A Year of Changing Lives Through Education!

By Allie Renar | Operations & Finance Manager

The first round of our new Threads of Hope Program
The first round of our new Threads of Hope Program

This year, your support has helped transform the lives of 434 students and their communities. Afghanistan is in a state of crisis but the students in Sahar programs are achieving things they could never have dreamt without your help.

60 girls learned English, IT, and women's empowerment in Stealth Sisters programs, empowering them to start businesses, offer online courses, and launch home-based schools.

214 girls learned IT, coding, and women's empowerment in Underground TechSheroes, enabling them to work in dental and doctor offices, offer freelance services, and apply for continuing education courses.

40 women began learning literacy, sewing, and women's empowerment in Threads of Hope, establishing skills that will lead to home-based tailoring businesses to support their families.

120 boys and young men started our Men as Partners in Change program, building understanding to support the women in their lives while learning English.

Thanks to your tremendous support Sahar is planning to change even more lives in 2024.
