The Sanctuary Support Program for 200 Animals continues to focus on improving the welfare and safety of rescued animals in Zamfara State, Nigeria. The project is designed to provide essential food, veterinary medicines, and shelter repairs to help protect 200 animals from starvation, illness, and harsh weather conditions.
Financially, the project has a total funding target of $9,000, intended to cover critical care and operational needs over a 12-month period. However, the current GlobalGiving project page indicates that $0 has been raised toward this target, leaving the full $9,000 funding requirement outstanding. Consequently, the planned large-scale procurement of animal feed and veterinary supplies, as well as repairs to damaged fencing, remains dependent on securing financial support.
Despite these financial constraints, the project has established clear priorities for addressing the animals’ immediate welfare needs. The next phase will focus on mobilizing resources, managing available funds responsibly, and ensuring that any funds received are directed toward essential animal care and sanctuary maintenance. Continued financial support will be important in translating these plans into measurable improvements in nutrition, health, and safety for the rescued animals.
