We are raising funds to repair and extend the perimeter cyclone fencing around the school. This is one small part overall project which also includes the re-painting of all of the school walls, the re-painting of the entire roof structure and roofing materials, the repair and re-painting of all exterior doors, the repair of all exterior windows, the repair of the school's electrical system the repair and re-painting of the school's bathroom facilities and more.
The Santa Clara Neighborhood has one primary school that serves 232 children from preschool through sixth grade. The current school infrastructure consists of three buildings. Although the current infrastructure is mostly sound, the lack of routine re-painting, repairs and general maintenance is notable. Another concern expressed by parents and teachers is the insecurity that the incomplete perimeter fence poses for both students and teachers during school hours and for the facilities.
The repair and extension of perimeter cyclone fencing for the school's grounds will help to ensure that the school is secure and safe for the students who attend.
