Save 136 refugee children along EU-Serbia borders

Summary

Help APC camper - mobile office with a team of lawyers, psychologists and social workers to help young refugees & migrants across Serbia, the last migration buffer zone on the EU's borders. More than 6,000 refugees/migrants, out of which over 1000 are in the open, with no shelter, food, hygiene, health care, no legal/psycho protection nor proper information. We will come to them by using our camper - mobile office. With our help, 136 children will be safe, informed and empowered.

Challenge

100' of refugee children/youth stuck in the open (out of more then 6000 refugees) in Serbia, last migration buffer, along EU borders, without shelter or protection, with no food, hygiene, health care, no valid information, exposed to push backs, violence, abuse, smugglers, traffickers and system's indifference. In need of holistic legal&psycho/social & humanitarian mobile aid across country to protect & empower them to fight&overcome daily living risks, violations, abuse, to enter legal system.

Solution

With a mobile refugee office on wheels, with a team of lawyer, psychologist, social worker and translator, we will provide children/youth with valid information, holistic legal, psychological, social and humanitarian aid and a safe space, they otherwise wouldn't have in forests, along the borders, in the large transit centers, remote areas, in suburbs of cities, abandoned buildings & makeshift shelters, etc., to protect & empower children, saving them from danger and supporting their well being.

Long-Term Impact

Project will ensure/improve access to asylum and to other rights for vulnerable refugee children/youth to avoid irregular stay, violence, smuggling and trafficking risks in local communities/open areas across Serbia, thus improving system's legal/admin. practice. It will avail psycho-social & humanitarian aid to children/youth in remote areas via camper-mobile safe space, strengthening their resilience, sharing hope & positive messages to newcomers, involving locals and raising their awareness.
