The program aimed at children who suffer ocular cancer of the Hospital of San Vicente Foundation, started on August 17 2011, because 1 in 15 thousand children born alive suffer from this disease that not only puts children's vision at risk but also his life, because if it is not treated in a timely manner, there is a good chance that it will metastasize to the bones and brain.
This program has not only had an impact on the municipality of Medellín and its surroundings, since children have been received from all parts of Colombia and Latin America, becoming a high quality program and reference for Southamerica.
The main achievement of the Hospital's medical team has been to control and in many cases cure ocular cancer.
The faces behind this program are those who give life and reason to be the same, and are the ones who daily certify our work, which we do with love, recognizing the valuable help of our donors.
