Project Report: Protect Families from Dengue with Mosquito Nets
Project Summary
Dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases remain a critical threat to vulnerable families in Pakistan, particularly those living in overcrowded or open-air shelters. This project provides insecticide-treated mosquito nets to families in high-risk areas, offering a low-cost but highly effective solution to prevent disease. A single net, costing only $10, can protect an entire family, saving lives and reducing illness-related costs.
Funding Goal: $15,000
Raised to Date: $20
Remaining: $14,980
Project Duration: 4 months

The Challenge
Each year, thousands of families in Pakistan suffer from preventable mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. Poor households, particularly those with children, pregnant women, and elderly members, are disproportionately affected. Even one mosquito bite can result in severe illness, hospitalization, and financial hardship, perpetuating cycles of poverty.
Proposed Solution
This initiative will provide 300 insecticide-treated mosquito nets to families in high-risk areas. Along with distributing nets, families will receive education on dengue prevention and proper net usage. This approach not only protects lives but also reduces healthcare costs, school absenteeism, and long-term vulnerability to disease.
Expected Long-Term Impact
Urgent Appeal
The recent floods have created stagnant water, increasing mosquito populations and putting communities, especially children, women, and the elderly, at elevated risk. Your support can provide life-saving mosquito nets to those who need them most. Every contribution, no matter the size, has a direct impact.
Join us in protecting families from dengue; every $10 saved a life.
