Protect Families from Dengue with Mosquito Nets
Implemented by Moses Welfare Foundation
We are pleased to share an update on our ongoing humanitarian initiative, Protect Families from Dengue with Mosquito Nets, which aims to safeguard vulnerable families in Pakistan from life-threatening mosquito-borne diseases.
We are grateful to report that the project has received a total donation of USD 20 (received on 2 September 2025) from 1 generous donor. This contribution marks an important first step toward protecting families living in high-risk and underserved communities.
Project Summary
Dengue, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases continue to pose a serious public health threat in Pakistan, especially in flood-affected, rural, and low-income communities. Stagnant water after recent floods has significantly increased mosquito breeding, placing children, women, and elderly individuals at even greater risk.
Many families live in overcrowded homes or open shelters where protection from mosquitoes is extremely limited. A single mosquito bite can lead to severe illness, hospitalization, and financial hardship, deepening the cycle of poverty.
Project Goal
Proposed Solution
This project will provide insecticide-treated mosquito nets to vulnerable families in high-risk areas. Each net, costing approximately USD 10, can protect an entire family from mosquito bites and significantly reduce the risk of disease.
In addition to distribution, families will receive awareness sessions on:
This combined approach ensures both immediate protection and long-term prevention.
The Challenge
Each year, thousands of families suffer from:
The most affected are:
Without preventive tools, even one infection can result in serious health complications and a financial crisis for already struggling households.
Expected Impact
Urgent Need and Appeal
Recent floods have worsened the situation by creating stagnant water and increasing mosquito breeding across many communities. The risk to human life is now higher than ever.
Your support can directly protect families from preventable suffering. Even a small contribution of USD 10 can save an entire family from disease and hardship.
We humbly invite donors and supporters to stand with Moses Welfare Foundation in this urgent mission to protect lives and restore hope in vulnerable communities.
Together, we can prevent disease, save lives, and build healthier futures.
