Dengue is a deadly threat to poor families in Pakistan who sleep without protection from mosquitoes. This project will provide insecticide-treated mosquito nets to families living in high-risk areas. Just $10 can protect an entire family from dengue, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases-saving lives, preventing illness, and bringing safety to those who need it most.
Every year, thousands of families in Pakistan suffer from mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya-many of which are preventable. Poor families who live in overcrowded or open-air shelters cannot afford mosquito nets and are left exposed, especially at night. Children, pregnant women, and the elderly are most at risk. A single mosquito bite can lead to severe illness, hospital costs, or even death, pushing families deeper into poverty.
This project will provide 300 insecticide-treated mosquito nets to poor families in high-risk areas of Pakistan. Each net will protect a family from dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases. Families will also receive basic education on dengue prevention and net usage. This low-cost solution will help reduce illness, hospital visits, and save lives-especially among children and the elderly.
By providing mosquito nets, this project will reduce cases of dengue and other deadly mosquito-borne illnesses in vulnerable communities. Families will stay healthier, avoid costly medical treatment, and children will miss fewer school days. Over time, this simple solution will help break the cycle of poverty caused by preventable illness, improving health and stability for entire communities.
