Anuradha (name changed) is studying in 7th standard at the Government Tamil Higher Primary School lives with her two sisters and parents. Her two sisters are studying in the same school in 4th and 6th std. respectively. Her father is a house painter and mother is working as a helper in the same school. Her father is an alcoholic and mother is struggling to raise three daughters. Being an elder daughter of an illiterate parents Anuradha is self-motivated learner and is very clever and very good in her studies. She wants to become a doctor. She likes Tamil and English language. She likes to play and draw in her leisure time. She behaves very well with her teachers and friends. she is very regular to school, attentive in her studies and wants to continue her education.
The year has come to an end and all the children will go to the next class in the new academic year which starts in June 2019. We continuously conduct various extracurricular programs and provide food in the school to motivate them to come to school regularly. And hence we do the following:
We appeal for more funds through global giving, to help Anuradha and children like her so that the poverty-stricken parents and their underprivileged children are attracted by the facilities and amenities of the school and come back to school regularly.
