Project Summary
In Katashola Camp, located in Kalehe territory in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), over 200 children under the age of five have died in just two months due to malaria and severe malnutrition. This displaced persons camp, isolated and under the control of armed groups (M23), is facing an extreme humanitarian emergency. Access is nearly impossible due to ongoing insecurity and frequent flooding.
In response to this silent but devastating crisis, our project aims to deliver life-saving emergency aid, including medical care, therapeutic food, clean water, and mobile health support to displaced children and mothers. Aid is transported exclusively via Lake Kivu, the only safe access route to Katashola.
