We are pleased to announce that the Toni and Oded Eliashar National Incubation Center at the Zoo has been completed.
The first eggs are already in the incubators and we are looking forward to using all the new and upgraded facilities.
The newly renovated center includes an outdoor classroom for hosting school and other groups to learn about the Zoo's Birds of Prey breeding program.
It also now has the room for additional incubators that can hold reptile eggs.
There is a display area for reptiles as well as extensive education signage explaning about eggs, the incubation and hatching process and the endangered birds of prey in Israel.
One of the highlights of the new facility is the small 'nursery' pool for the new born diving ducks to splash around in after they hatch.
