Dear Birds of Prey Supporters,
We are pleased to share an update from the current breeding season: our Lesser Kestrels have laid 13 eggs so far. This year, in the absence of a suitable incubator, the eggs have been left in the care of the breeding pairs for natural incubation. While we are still awaiting the first hatchings, we remain hopeful and will continue to monitor progress closely.
More broadly, we are encouraged to report that over the past year we are not aware of any poisoning incidents affecting birds of prey in the wild. This is a remarkable and heartening development, following many years in which poisoning was one of the leading threats to these species in Israel.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support, which makes this important conservation work possible.
