The hatching season is well underway at the newly renovated Toni and Oded Eliashar National Incubation Center.
To date, we have received 27 Griffon vulture eggs from various locations around the country.
13 of the eggs were fertile and so far seven have successfuly hatched and have already been transferred to their adoptive parents.
One egg did not successfully hatch and we still have another five eggs waiting to hatch in the incubators.
This year is particularly important for this species as unfortunatelty, there have already been two incidents of vultures being fond poisoned and dead in the wild in teh past few months.
