Hello Birds of Prey Supporters!
We are pleased to report that we currently have 10 griffon vulture eggs in our incubation center. These eggs are transferred to us from institutions throughout Israel (as well as any eggs found by Israel Nature and Parks Authority rangers in the wild). We do this as incubated eggs have a much higher probability of hatching successfully whereafter the chicks are lovingly hand-reared by our staff using a special method that prevents imprinting so that they can later be released into the wild.
We invite you to watch our video of a vulture chick hatching (super cute!) and hope to be able to report that all 10 eggs have hatched in our next report.
Thank you for your continued support of this important wildlife conservation project.
