Recently, from a challenging start in a private hospital in northern Syria, Julia was urgently transferred to our Al-Ikhaa Hospital, battling severe pulmonary hypertension and pneumonia from inhalation. Admitted to our neonatal intensive care unit, her condition was dire.

With the aid of a ventilator and targeted medical interventions like appropriate antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and cardiac support, we saw a remarkable turnaround. We successfully weaned her off mechanical ventilation and initiated nutrition.

However, Julia's journey didn't end there. Her heart required more than what we could offer locally. Diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta—a critical congenital heart condition—emergency measures were promptly enacted. We administered an intravenous prostaglandin infusion and coordinated her transfer to a specialized facility in Turkey. There, her condition was meticulously reassessed, the diagnosis confirmed, and lifesaving cardiac surgery performed.

Thanks to your unwavering support, Julia triumphantly returned home with her family, visiting us with smiles and stories of a future filled with hope.
