Because of You, Baby Sidra Is Alive Today!

By Baraa Ali | Fundraising Officer

Dear Supporter,

Your generosity continues to save the lives of newborn babies in northern Syria.

Because of the ongoing crisis, many families struggle to access essential healthcare. Hospitals and medical centers remain limited, while newborn babies—among the most vulnerable—often arrive in critical condition and in urgent need of immediate treatment.

Baby Sidra was only two days old when she was brought to one of SEMA’s hospitals. She was suffering from repeated vomiting and severe pain. Medical examinations revealed that she had severe gastrointestinal bleeding, a life-threatening condition requiring urgent intervention.

Our medical team immediately admitted Sidra to the neonatal intensive care unit and began the necessary treatment to save her life.

Thanks to your generous contributions, our doctors were able to provide Sidra with the specialized care she desperately needed. Her condition improved, her pain was relieved, and she was given the chance to return safely to her family.

You helped make this possible.

Every donation you make enables our medical teams to respond when a newborn’s life hangs in the balance. Your compassion provides treatment, comfort, and hope to babies who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.

Thank you for standing with SEMA and for continuing to protect the most fragile lives in northern Syria.

Together, we are not only providing medical care—we are giving newborn babies the chance to live, grow, and be held again in the arms of their families.

With heartfelt gratitude,
