Born prematurely at 34 weeks, Adham took his first breaths in one of our hospitals in northern Syria, where he faced an uphill battle against severe respiratory distress. From the very start, he relied on mechanical ventilation, life-saving surfactant therapy, and intensive cardiac support.

Yet, through every challenge, a steadfast will to survive has kept hope alive. Today, just eight days later, Adham is showing promising signs of improvement. He’s nearly ready to come off the ventilator and is now able to digest milk through a gastric tube. Although he’s still fighting a blood infection, careful treatment and round-the-clock monitoring allow us to believe in a brighter tomorrow.

On his very first day, as his mother gazed at his tiny face for the first time, the firstborn child of Mrs. Razan nearly lost his chance at life. Born via C-section at one of SEMA's hospitals in northern Syria, the joy of the new mother quickly turned into deep concern when she noticed her baby’s struggle. After two hours of close monitoring without any improvement, the medical team decided to transfer him to the neonatal unit, where his journey of intensive care began—all thanks to your generous donations.

Every necessary step was taken to save this little one: establishing an IV line, providing serum, conducting essential tests, and performing a chest X-ray. Today, by the grace of God and your lifesaving support, this precious angel is now stable and has been able to receive his first nourishing feeds to regain strength.
