While babies weigh 2500 to 3500 grams at birth, Maria did not have enough time to grow during pregnancy as she was born at 32 gestational weeks weighing only one kilogram. She was admitted to the incubator section at Ariha hospital for children and maternity, in western Idleb in northern Syria.
Thanks to God, and the availability of the medical equipment that you provided to the hospital, the girl started to recover, and she weighed 1800 g upon discharge. This would not have happened had it not been for your empathy and support.
Your continued contribution means more rescued lives, and more hope for mothers and fathers among the most vulnerable groups who reside in the poorest and least safe areas in the world.
