Save the Mangroves, Protect Life

The year 2025 began with a wave of activity and commitment for our local partner, Vivac't, based in Rincón del Mar, Colombia. Between welcoming new faces, educational projects, and awareness-raising activities, we look back on a start to the year rich in solidarity initiatives.

In the first weeks of January, our partner had the pleasure of welcoming the Up&Op film crew, who came to film a documentary dedicated to Rincón del Mar. This project aims to showcase the many facets of the village: its environment, its history, its culture, and its tourist appeal. This project also gives a voice to those who live there through a series of interviews.

Two new volunteers on civic service contracts have joined us for our international solidarity missions

Two new volunteers on civic service contracts joined the Vivac't team. Maxime, who arrived in early January, is in charge of communications, while Garance, who arrived at the end of April, leads activities for the children. Both have joined our loyal volunteers and are ensuring the continuity of the field missions, bringing their fresh perspective and good humor.

Environmental workshops to continue preserving the environment for future generations

In addition to the mangrove restoration project, Vivac't organizes environmental workshops for children every other Saturday. These workshops are led by Ronaldo, a biology student from Rincón del Mar, accompanied by the association's volunteers.
