This project will provide COVID 19 awareness(multi-media messages with sign language interpretation) and protective materials to 10 primary schools with children with special needs/disabilities,also 10 centers for the most vulnerable groups(orphanage and elderly centers),6000 people will be reached and protected against COVID 19 in Mwanza city and misungwi district. the protective materials to be provided in 20 centers will include 80 containers,2000 ltrs of hand wash soap,12000 re-usable musk.
There are thousands of undeserved people like orphans,PWDs,and the elderly in mwanza region who are left without support, on the fight against COVID 19,as it has affected the whole community socially and economically,the undeserved people are hit hardest by the COVID 19,as they access poor information also they can not afford to buy protective materials , This project will support 6000 people in 20 schools/centers with awareness and protective materials against COVID 19.
YEV provides hand wash soap,Containers and musk to 6000 undeserved community members including people with disabilities,orphans and the elderly,the whole community are well informed on COVID 19 through posters, special emphasis is given to the people with disabilities who are well informed through sign interpretation language and other friendly media.
The project will reduce death to the marginalized groups that could be resulted by COVID 19. The project will also improve health status among 6000 undeserved community members as COVID 19 and other air and water borne diseases will be alleviated through the protective materials provided by YEV.
