Orphan children in Lebanon have been drastically impacted by the unprecedented economic collapse and current conflict, which has also impacted the country's most vulnerable populations. The financial crisis has left over 30% of Lebanese children going to bed hungry, with 77% of households unable to afford necessities such as food, shelter, and healthcare. Orphaned children are particularly at risk, as they lack access to essential services that are critical for their development and future.
Over 1.2 million children in Lebanon are suffering due to the severe economic collapse, leaving countless orphans in dire circumstances. These children lack access to basic necessities like food, shelter, healthcare and education. 30% go to bed hungry, and 77% of households can't afford enough food. Deprived of education and vulnerable to exploitation, their future is bleak without urgent help. The crisis has taken away both their families and their chance at a stable life.
This program provides shelter and essential supplies, including safe and secure housing, food, clothing, and hygiene products. It ensures access to education, vocational training, and healthcare services, including regular medical check-ups and vaccinations. Psychosocial support helps orphaned children cope with trauma. Additionally, safe spaces for play and creativity are offered, along with community-based initiatives to empower families and break the cycle of poverty.
This program equips orphans children with education and skills, breaking the cycle of poverty and leading to economic independence. It fosters emotional resilience through psychosocial support, ensuring they grow into healthy, capable adults. By empowering families and communities to be self-sustaining, it creates lasting stability, reducing reliance on aid. The long-term impact is a generation of empowered individuals who contribute to a stronger, more resilient community.
