Dear Sumatran tiger supporters,
Our zoological team are watching Hannah closely. After observing mating between our Sumatran tiger couple, we now see evidence of a possible pregnancy - Hannah is developing nipples and there are other signs recognizable to veterinarians. We hope to be able to confirm this to you in our next report.
Fingers crossed…after so many disappointments we hope that we will have another chance with Hannah and Avigdor II. If there is a successful pregnancy, our zoological team may take the step of separating the cubs from Hannah as soon as possible to avoid more tragedy.
We’ll keep you posted!
With warm regards,
Team Tiger at the Jerusalem Zoo
