Dear friends,
Kisumu Kenya has been experiencing a lot of rainfall as predicted by the weather forcasters. The rains started last year around October and has continued to date.
Nyalenda slums which is the second biggest informal settlement within our town has been experiencing more problems as it is a small place with several people living in shantues and mud houses which are easily destroyed when it is flooded.
The rains has affected several families leaving most of them without houses, farms to grow their crops and destroyed properties.
JWF has been in the fore front in putting up houses for the flood victims. We did two houses last year and we plan to build more this year. We still need more commitments and partnership to make it happen.
JWF will ensure that we put up decent houses to help shelter the affected people. This will help prevent diseases and will help put the children back to school..
We thank you each and every time.God bless you.
