‘Jack’ was treated for its Cherry-eye and recovered completely:
In India, we have a lot of stray animals and most of them are dogs. Stray dogs are majorly ignored in many regions of India due to a lack of education and empathy towards them.
But people fail to understand that these stray dogs are the ones who protect us from thieves entering society or alarming us before any kind of natural calamity. Yes, they warn us, but we humans are so busy with our small world that we purposely ignore the outer world.
Where in the outer world there are good people too who consider strays as their family, they feed them, they let them enter their houses, and they take them for a walk just like any other breed pet.
‘Jack’ a brown dog owned by Ravi bhai was suffering from a condition called ‘Cherry eye.’
The owner decided to take the poor soul to Jivdaya Charitable Trust.
‘Cherry eye’ is a common term for prolapse (or popping out) of the third eyelid gland. The third eyelid serves as an added protective layer for the eye, especially during hunting or fighting. Cherry eye can cause discomfort and impaired vision, so it is important to address the condition as soon as possible. With the successful surgery, the dog should be able to see more clearly and be more comfortable. Our doctors at Jivdaya were able to successfully remove the gland from Jack through surgery.
After the successful surgery Ravi Bhai was relieved and took back his four-legged companion home where all the other family members were eagerly waiting for Jack to come home.
