Kalu with a Radius Ulna Fracture:
A dog named ‘Kalu’ was rescued from the Sabarmati area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat who couldn’t put weight on its leg and was in immense pain because of a midshaft radius ulna fracture from a road accident. Kalu was a victim of another reckless driving and hit and run case. The poor dog was immediately brought to Jivdaya Charitable Trust for treatment. After examination and stabilizing the dog’s condition, our vets performed bone plating surgery to fix the fracture. Amazingly, the dog started to put weight on the injured leg just a day after the surgery. The operation was successful, and the dog is recovering quickly. Ongoing care and monitoring are being done to ensure the dog fully heals and can use the leg normally again.
