The Scholarship Initiative for 150 Girls in Katsina is currently at an early fundraising stage. The project has a total funding goal of $39,045, with $1 raised so far, leaving $39,044 still required to fully implement the initiative. The project has received support from 1 donors, demonstrating initial interest while highlighting the significant funding gap that remains.
Funds raised will be directed toward providing full educational support for 150 girls, including tuition, school registration and examination fees, textbooks, uniforms, stationery, and other essential learning materials. Based on the project's funding structure, $100 can support one girl's tuition and school levies for an academic year, while $250 can cover tuition, books, and uniforms for one student. A $1,000 contribution can fully support five girls with tuition, learning materials, uniforms, and mentoring support.
At this stage, the primary priority is to increase fundraising and secure the resources needed to begin awarding scholarships. Elite Star Foundation will continue mobilizing donors and partners to close the funding gap and ensure that financially disadvantaged girls in Katsina can remain in school and pursue better educational and economic opportunities.
