Greetings!!
We are very grateful to you for your support of our new initiative for young girls with disabilities who want to pursue higher education. Higher education is at the city level, and girls with disabilities from rural areas face major challenges to study at the city level. They can not commute everyday in public transport. Public transport is inaccessible, and also local transport is a big challenge for them. Hence, they have to stay in a hostel or in paying guests to study higher education. This is very expensive for these poor girls. They dropped their education due to this challenge.
To help these bright girls, BPA has launched the Gyan Prabha Scholarship for Girls with Disabilities. We have advertised for the scholarship schemes and started receiving applications from girls with disabilities. The selection committee will review the application, and select eligible candidates for the scholarship.
We will share an interesting human story of these young bright girls with you in the next report.
