Help Educate 10 Students in Wheelchairs

AlHassan Foundation is pleased to announce a comprehensive scholarship program aimed at supporting students with physical disabilities (wheelchair users) who face financial difficulties in pursuing their education. The scholarship is designed to promote inclusivity and provide opportunities across all educational levels.

Asmaa’s journey is one of resilience and determination. In 2004, she experienced a devastating fall that resulted in spinal fractures and left her with paraplegia. Her life, as she knew it, came to a halt.

But in 2018, everything began to change. We met Asmaa through the “Customized Wheelchair” project, where she connected with the Alhassan Foundation team and slowly began to rebuild her confidence and strength. From the process of taking measurements to receiving her wheelchair, Asmaa impressed everyone with her courage and unwavering spirit.

Through rehabilitation sessions and continuous support, she held on to her belief in herself and remained determined to continue her education.

Her hard work paid off. Asmaa achieved an outstanding score of 95.24% in high school, earning her a university scholarship from Alhassan Foundation. By her second year, she ranked first in her class—proving that determination can overcome even the toughest challenges.
