SESSO Project Report - February 2024

Abraham and Amour in Class
Dear Project Supporters,
We are happy to bring you another project report to update you on SESSO's operations and new things in the works!
Current Student Updates
- Our four students have been doing very well. During the Move a Million campaign, we were able to visit with them via Zoom and allow them to share their stories with our generous donors and get exposure to more people who may not know much about SESSO.
- All 4 students have begun their school year this year, and SESSO has paid for their entire 2024 school year. Three of our students are now in 11th grade, and one of our students is in 9th grade.
Upcoming - Scholarship Application Completion and Conducting Interviews:
- Because of the immense generosity of our donors, as well as the generosity of GlobalGiving via their matching campaigns, SESSO is able to add at least 2 more students that we feel confidents we will be able to support through 12th grade. We are in the process of developing a formal application and outlining the process by which we select our scholarship recipients. Previously, our scholars were selected based on community leader input and personal verification processes with the children's guardians. However, the process will become slightly more intentional, taking into account the students' desire to work hard and make a difference not only in their personal future, but in the future of their fellow South Sudanese citizens and in the future of their country.
- We will keep supporters informed as this process unfolds, and we will be excited to introduce our new scholarship recipients soon!
Thank you for taking this journey with us. None of this would be possible without you!

Greetings to our Project Supporters,
We are happy to bring you another update on the students that SESSO is sponsoring. These updates continue to be possible only because of your generous financial support. It is an honor to continue to be able to update you on these amazing students.
Update on SESSO-Sponsored Students:
- Grades for the most recent term were received in August of 2023, and the students are all performing well!
- SESSO is still raising funds for the 2023-2024 school year.
- Amour is doing well on the school basketball team and they won four (4) of the their six (6) friendly matches during semester #2. This report includes some pictures of her with her team.
Plans Moving Forward:
- SESSO continues to be grateful for all of our donors who make funding of these students’ education possible. With your help, these orphans are receiving a new hope for their future, and we are confident that this hope and opportunity you have helped give them will allow them to make big changes for the future of South Sudan.
- Stay tuned for additional information on our students and their progress in the coming weeks as we prepare for a big campaign for Giving Tuesday on November 28, 2023.
Thank you for taking this journey with us and invite you to stay with us and watch the fruits of your generosity over the years as these students progress through school and on into adulthood.

SESSO Project Report - June 2023

Nyamuch Volleyball
Dear Project Supporters,
We are happy to bring you another update on the students that SESSO is sponsoring, which is only made possible by your generous continued financial support. As always, we are extremely grateful for your generosity!
Student Highlights:
- Abraham was selected last semester with four of his colleagues to represent his class in the hygiene club in the school. The hygiene club is a body of students that are well oriented to engage other students to help keep the school environment as clean as possible. Abraham’s teacher reported Abraham had been encouraging his friends to drop their waste papers or other garbage into the bins located around the school, and this earned him the selection into the students hygiene club. Proper hygiene is not taught to most students outside of school, and is an important educational component impacting student health.
- Nyamuch has been working hard training for volleyball and has officially been selected to participate in the upcoming June inter-schools competitions. Nyamuch is a level-headed player who is known for her good sportsmanship not only with her teammates, but with opposing school teams as well.
General Update on SESSO-Sponsored Students:
- Grades for the first term were received on April 20, 2023, and the students are performing well!
- SESSO is still raising funds for the 2023-2024 school year.
Thank you for taking this journey with us and invite you to stay with us and watch the fruits of your generosity over the years as these students progress through school and on into adulthood.
