Participants begin their school journey

By Carla Carmona Tarin | Head of Communications

The new participants in Empieza Por Educar’s two-year programme have now joined the schools where they will spend the next two years learning, teaching and working alongside students and educational communities.

Their arrival marks the beginning of an important stage in their journey: two years to develop as teachers and professionals while contributing to the schools they are joining and supporting their students in reaching their full potential.

For many of them, these first days have been filled with excitement, gratitude and plenty of new experiences. Gonzalo, who has joined Colegio Sagrada Familia de Urgell in Vallecas, Madrid, described what it feels like to step into the classroom at the beginning of this new chapter:

“I start this new chapter with a heart full of excitement, respect, and that mix of nerves and passion that only stepping into a classroom can bring.”

Gonzalo also highlighted his motivation to keep learning throughout the programme and to give his students the very best of himself, supported by the experience and knowledge of the professionals around him.

For Adrián, who has started this new stage at Colegio Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the first days have also been an opportunity to discover the people who will accompany him throughout this journey. As he shared on LinkedIn:

“Beyond the institutions, what really makes a difference is the people who make them up. Having the chance to work alongside such human, passionate and committed professionals is a true privilege.”

These first reflections offer a glimpse of what lies ahead: two years of learning, collaboration and growth, but also the opportunity to contribute to the educational communities they are now becoming part of.

Our new participants have also been sharing their first experiences on LinkedIn, giving us a glimpse into how they are experiencing these first days in their new schools. You can read some of their reflections below.

Their journey has only just begun. Over the next two years, they will continue learning, growing and working alongside their students and colleagues to create more opportunities for every student to thrive.
