Challenge

Six hundreds thousands of children are victims of drop out in Cameroon. In humanitarian perspective education has been identified as the urgent need fir 2020. This project intends to prepare thousands of children who dropped out for several months to return to school. Formal education activities include important social and protection components related to sensitization for this issue.

Solution

This project is designed to meet IDP, refugee and host communities students where they are when they arrive. The project intends to prepare at least 2500 children who have dropped out of school for several months to return to school. It will include protection component related to sensitization of local actors and authorities. It will be necessary to set up teams to mobilize, sensitize and identify children who have not fully or partially completed the year or the previous school years.

Long-Term Impact

At least 2500 refugees and Idp will come back to school. So, the project will help to attend the SDG4. Among them, 1250 are girls, which means the project also attends SDG5. By sensitization and volunteers activities, final target population is 10 000 different actors and leaders will help for a long term action of fighting again drop out phenomenum in school.
