My name is Tunga, and I'm 12 years old.
The hard time after leaving my village because of the war, now I live with my mother in Bulengo camp, near Goma.
A new life at the other side: no shelter, no food, no bed, no water, etc.
Six months ago, with my friends we went to look for firewood in the bush next to the camp. I was taken by two men. They raped me. Unconscious, I was abandoned in the bush. Shepherds picked me up to the health center, where I was treated.
Now I'm in child friendly space, along with my friends at the site. Mrs. Marie, a Children's Voice social worker is our teacher. Mrs. Marie is kind. She loves us. She tells us nice stories and we laugh. She makes us dance. We love her very much. She said that life can change is good way.
I like to sing and dance. We're also learning to read and write. I have new friends and we play together. I'm happy to be studying and I'm going to learn to sew clothes. I'm going to be a seamstress and help my mother.
