The educational situation in Guatemala is precarious. Although public education is "free," parents of students attending public schools must cover requirements such as shoes uniforms, a long list of materials and supplies, etc. As part of the comprehensive support we provide, students individually receive a bag of new school supplies and books for their use during the school year. The cost per student is $100. We ask for your support to reach our goal of covering the cost of 530 studentes.
Our students do not have the possibility of being able to afford their education, that is why Ninos de Guatemala provides education at a minimum cost and provides them with all the necessary elements for their education. The bags of supplies and books are essential for each student to have the necessary items for their school year.
This project will help us to provide our students with the necessary elements for their education, also creating a sense of responsibility, individual work, the implementation of more reading periods and that each student has the opportunity to access different books throughout the year.Every student has the right to education and to be able to count on the excitement of having new school supplies, in order to start the school year with that motivation, in addition to the gift of education.
The items and school supplies that will be provided will be for the use of the year, but even more so for the achievement and retention of academic skills received during the year.
