School Support for 130 orphan children-Addis Ababa

This is the quarterly report of Yengat Birhan Charity Organization on school support for 80 orphan children from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

Report period from June to August, 2022.

Introduction
As you know Yenegat Birhan Charity organization is an indigenous humanitarian organization that works on the very poor children and women. The activities includes: child education, women empowerment and health since 2016. The main support areas includes supporting women in income generating activates, creating awareness on some important social political issues and providing school materials with tutorial class along with snack for school children in order to perform better additionally creating awareness on health related issues on both group and help children to get health care in need of it.
For the last three months, the organization had performed different activities for school children under the school support project. We could providing different school support activities for 130 (62female and 68 male) students.
By the grace of God, for the last three months we could perform the following activities:
On the month of June, 2022 for both groups of the children we could provide Ethics class, every Monday for 45 students and Tuesday for 85 students. It is because to use our limited rented class room and instructors wisely. For both group we were providing different types of snack like egg sandwich, lentil sandwich and pizza alternatively. And for both group, we keep paying Birr100.00\child for the tutorial services as the monthly fees and additional 100 birr for each grade 8 student for a total of 19 students for tutorial service 1\2 day on Saturday, to prepare them for external exam.

On the month of July and August 2022, we accomplish the following activities:-
Medical checkup and related treatment made for all 130 school children including those 45 students that don’t have specific sponsor.
Stationery materials purchased for all 130 students and supportive books that focused particularly on English and Mathematics for the next school calendar year of 2022/2023.
We bought also cloth, shoes and school bags for 85 children and for 45 students’ cloth and school bag only because of constraint budget.
Organizing summer event for all 130 children, the summer playing and educational program of the year 2022 started on the month of July first and lasts August 31, 2022 and the children enjoyed it. Through this program students playing various games and learn more from their mentors and from volunteers (students that comes from different international school as a volunteer). We purchased different playing materials for summer program like: tennis ball, football, playing gun, straw, pumping ball and balloon, so that they could know new game and they were very happy with different summer program activities.
