By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project providing much-needed seed supplies to small farming families. Seeds are very important in terms of improving productivity in farming and often times this is overlooked with farmers using low-grade seeds and thereby lowering their production down to unsustainable levels. We try to change this situation by providing farmers with high-valued seeds that they are able to grow and get higher yields compared to when they are using low-class seeds. This reporting period, we procured hard to purchase seeds of high-valued crops such as onions and leeks and grow them in our seed propagation area with the aim of producing the seeds for distribution to farmers. Aside from leeks and onions we are able to also grow ladys fingers, tomato, eggplant, cucumber and bitter gourd.
Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
